Brittney Alexius Brackett was born on September 1st, as a native of Greenville, SC. She's an actress, author, singer, voiceover artist and model who continues to shoot for the stars--and hasn't stopped reaching yet.
Brittney started singing in elementary school and later sang on her church choirs. She also studied voice with the renowned Mr. Michael Rice, and theater with the talented Mr. Dwight Woods in SC. In addition, Brittney studied dance for nine years at Let's Dance in SC; having studied everything from jazz to liturgical styles of dance.
Being trained by Mr. Truman Humbert, a five-diamond coach in oratory, Brittney became a national qualifier two consecutive years in speech and debate.
Her acting career includes lead and supporting roles in feature and short films, industrials, plays and musicals, radio and television commercials, cartoons and voicing two children's books, in the Greenville, Charlotte, and Georgia markets. Brittney has also appeared in local, regional and national publications; Options Magazine, Sheen Magazine, The Greenville News, LINK Magazine, and The Community Informer for her endeavors.
Past projects include Southern Fried Stings, Pace: The Elaine Roberge Story, STAND!, Blood Done Signed My Name, Het-Q, Misunderstood, Lighter, Wedding Day, A Fall from Grace, Christmas with Sista Hattie, and recently, the films Slice and Slice 2, directed by comedian, Pierre.
Brittney was also coached by acclaimed actor and voiceover artist, GregAlan Williams, for her role in the film Slice as Pamela Flemmings. Brackett appeared in the gospel sitcom "The Bishop's House" produced by GUR Network, as well as currently co-hosts a video gospel countdown show called Soultrax, airing on MY40 on sunday mornings at 8am.
In radio, Brittney was a co-host with "The Crew"/103.3 WOLT, Mike Ray's PowerTalk-FM radio show in Atlanta, GA, and is co-hosting with LR Byrd and others on Women/Men. Brittney has been interviewed on The Charlie Bolts Show, “Keeping It Real With Jesus” on Spirit 800AM, NiteLine and The Peggy Denny Show on WGGS, WYFF Channel 4, Gospel Impact Radio and Atlanta Live, and Your Carolina. Brittney is also the Publicity Chairperson on The Chapman Foundation, Inc. Board of Directors in Greenville, SC. CFI is a non-profit organization that awards African American and Hispanic high school graduates with scholarships that will be attending college.

Her first Christian children's audio book release, "Bibi and The Great Outdoor Adventure", is available on iTunes, Amazon, and CD Baby.com, and the other books in the collection, "Bibi and The Big Bully" and Bibi Goes To Church", will be available soon in 2012. She is currently accessible for live readings, book signings, and special appearances. Brittney now assists with teaching children's church, AKA W.O.W. at the River, at Reedy River Missionary Baptist Church, where she's a member.
Brittney has also begun writing and producing three Christian short films to be submitted to a number of film festivals later this year, and will be using local talent to assist her with her projects.
